Chief Deputy State Fire Marshal Bob Sharp has 31 years of Fire Service / Emergency Management experience and is a retired Deputy Fire Chief from the City of Charleston. Prior to being hired as the Chief Deputy State Fire Marshal he was the Deputy Emergency Management and Homeland Security Director for the City of Charleston, Finance and Executive Board Member to the Metro 911 Emergency Operations Center of Kanawha County and a member of the Board of Director to the Kanawha Putnam Emergency Planning Committee. Currently he is a West Virginia Intelligence Fusion Center- Fusion Liaison Officer, WVU Fire Service Instructor, State Interoperable Radio Network Executive Committee Representative and WV Public Safety Expo Executive Board Member. Chief Deputy Fire Marshal Sharp has a Regents Bachelor of Arts Degree and an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Fire Science from WV State University. He is also a WV Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor, American Heart Association CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor and PADI Master S.C.U.B.A. Diving Instructor.
