Current Practices in K-12 School Safety and Security

This four hour course is designed to educate the participant on current practices in public school safety and security methods/policies and to examine the proactive risk-reduction measures implemented in Kanawha County Schools. The course will cover subjects such as emergency planning and training, crisis plans, security hardware, active shooter precautions, bomb threat management, shelter in place drills, suspicious activity reporting, and cooperative programs with local first responder agencies.
